The ALLEVYN Gentle Border dressing range is designed for people with sensitive or delicate skin and wounds with mild to moderate exudation. The soft silicone gel adhesive reduces trauma and pain during dressing changes, and the soft, flexible foam provides patient comfort. Triple action technology maintains optimal moisture balance for wound healing.

The waterproof outer film allows the patient to shower with the dressing still attached. Allevyn Gentle Border Lite has a thin layer of foam that adapts well to sensitive skin. The advanced three-layer construction includes a perforated silicone wound contact layer, an absorbent water cell foam pad and a permeable outer film. Allevyn Gentle Border dressings are clinically indicated for superficial granulation, full and partial thickness wounds such as bedsores, leg ulcers and diabetic foot ulcers. It can be used on infected wounds, malignant wounds, surgical wounds, burns, donor sites, cancerous wounds, epidermobullosis and other chronic or acute exudative wounds. The softness of the silicone adhesive reduces pain during removal. The soft hydrocellular foam cushion absorbs exudate while maintaining optimal moisture balance. These dressings have a Gentle silicone gel adhesive which minimises trauma to the wound at dressing change.
Directions: Prepare and clean the skin surrounding the wound area by removing excess moisture. Any excess hair should be clipped to ensure close approximation to the wound. Start to remove the protector material from the dressing and anchor the adhesive side of the dressing to the skin. Smooth the dressing over the wound removing the remaining protector material and ensure that the dressing is adhered all around the wound.
